Coconut Creek Police responded to various calls from October 28 to November 3, 2025. Below is a detailed account of the incidents handled by local law enforcement during this period.
Incidents
Theft and Burglary
The Landings: A delayed burglary to a vehicle was reported on Oct. 28, with an estimated loss of $20.
Karanda III: A victim reported theft from a motor vehicle between Oct. 27–28 with an estimated loss of $1,000.
Karanda Village V: Attempted vehicle burglary reported on Oct. 28.
Walmart (5571 W. Hillsboro Blvd): Multiple retail thefts occurred during the week:
Oct. 28 – $283 loss; felony theft.
Oct. 29 – $157 loss; no prosecution, trespass warning issued.
Nov. 2 – $340 loss; declined prosecution, trespass warning issued.
Fit2Run (4449 Lyons Rd): Two related thefts reported Oct. 29 involving counterfeit bills; estimated combined loss of $184.
Evergreen Apartments (5005 Wiles Rd): A vehicle theft reported Oct. 28.
Avalon (5401 Wiles Rd): A stolen vehicle reported Oct. 30.
Hyundai Theft: A vehicle stolen overnight from 1821 Lyons Rd on Oct. 31.
Banyan Bay: A vehicle was stolen between Oct. 30–31 and later recovered by Fort Lauderdale PD.
Applewood Village III: A vehicle reported stolen on Nov. 2.
Walmart: Theft of a Segway scooter valued at $650 on Nov. 2.
Fraud and Financial Crimes
4800 W. Copans Rd: A victim reported a $25,100 wire fraud on Oct. 29 after sending money to a suspect.
Lowman Electric (5145 NW 42nd Ave): Business reported a $38,387 fraud between May 15–20, reported Oct. 31.
Domestic and Physical Disturbances
Several verbal domestic disturbances were reported at Buttonwood Hammocks, Banyan Trails, Tallowood, Legacy Apartments, Coco Parc, and The Hammocks.
Legacy at Coconut Creek: A 19-year-old female victim reported an aggravated battery by strangulation on Oct. 28.
3876 Cocoplum Cir (Elliot South): Two parties were arrested following a domestic battery on Oct. 29.
Bell Apartments: A dating violence battery on Nov. 1 led to an arrest.
Additional simple battery cases were documented at Sommerset, Centura Parc, and various residential areas, several with waivers of prosecution.
DUI and Vehicle-Related Arrests
4800 W. Copans Rd: A road rage incident led to a DUI arrest on Oct. 28.
1200 Lyons Rd: A driver was arrested for DUI involving property damage and bodily injury on Oct. 28.
1300 Lyons Rd: DUI arrest after traffic stop on Oct. 30.
4700 Lyons Rd: Two-vehicle collision resulted in a DUI arrest on Oct. 30.
Other Incidents
Sabal Pines Park: Officers found a deceased chicken with bound legs on Oct. 30. The case was classified as animal cruelty.
Multiple Locations: Several property-found reports were logged across the city, including on Sawgrass Blvd, Cullum Rd, and NW 41st Ter.
Wynmoor: DCF/Baker Act cases, elderly neglect, and police assists reported throughout the week.
South Creek: One adult was reported missing on Oct. 28.
Casa Palma: Criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported Nov. 2.
Arrests
Jason Mitchell Hoover (45): Arrested Oct. 28 at 4800 W. Copans Rd. – Driving While Intoxicated (M).
Gregory David Anderson (24): Arrested Oct. 30 at 4700 Lyons Rd. – DUI Alcohol or Drugs, 1st Offense (M).
Scott Raymond Tolbert (35): Arrested Nov. 1 – Battery (Dating Violence).
