Young LEGO enthusiasts in Coconut Creek are in for a treat as the city announces a new LEGO Builders Challenge taking place throughout March and April.
The challenge, aimed at children between 6 and 10, invites participants to build various items using the classic plastic interlocking bricks.
Held on Thursdays, from March 2 through April 13, except March 23, the event takes place from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Coconut Creek Community Center at 1100 Lyons Road.
Participants will be asked to present what they have built and receive a 1000-piece brick set as a reward for participating in the challenge. The fee to participate in the event is $45 for Coconut Creek residents and $55 for non-residents. The payment must be made by credit card, as cash or checks are not currently accepted.
Registration for the challenge is ongoing until the class is full and is limited to 10 participants. Interested individuals can register online at www.CoconutCreek.net/WebTrac or by walk-in at the Community Center or the Recreation Complex at 4455 Sol Press Boulevard. Before registering online, participants must set up a WebTrac account.
