Through our joint effort with the Coconut Creek Police Department to share updates with residents, this is a summary of Coconut Creek’s crime and arrests through April 3.
Theft – From Motor Vehicle
A 40-year-old male was the victim of Theft – From Motor Vehicle on Victoria Way in Wynmoor, reported on 03/28/2023. The total estimated loss was $6,000 taken from a vehicle.
Theft – Auto Parts/Accessories
A 46-year-old female was the victim of Theft – Auto Parts/Accessories was reported on 03/28/2023—a stolen catalytic converter from a Mitsubishi with a total estimated loss of $1,000.
Disturbance
Disturbance – A juvenile at 5400 Johnson Road was reported on 03/29/2023 at Tradewinds Elementary. A kindergarten student with autism made a firearm gesture with his hands toward a classmate.
Disturbance – A juvenile at 5400 Johnson Road was reported on 03/29/2023 at Tradewinds Elementary. During lunch and extending into recess play, a kindergarten student cursed, flipped the middle finger, and made a firearm gesture with his hands toward a classmate that reported his behavior to the teacher.
Threat Assessment
Threat Assessment Report at 5400 Johnson Road was reported on 03/29/2023 at Tradewinds Elementary. While on the playground, a first-grade student got upset with a classmate and said, “Give me the snail, or I’ll kill you with a knife.”
Vehicle Theft – Auto
Vista BMW was the victim of Vehicle Theft – Auto at 4401 W Sample Road, reported on 03/29/2023.
Theft – Retail/Shoplifting
Sunglass Hut was the victim of Theft – Retail/Shoplifting at 4431 Lyons Road, reported on 03/29/2023. Grand Theft of four designer sunglasses with a total estimated loss was $1,859.
Kohls was the victim of Theft – Retail/Shoplifting at 6950 N State Road 7 was reported on 03/31/2023. The total estimated loss was $977.
Cvs Pharmacy was the victim of Theft – Retail/Shoplifting at 4550 Lyons Road, reported on 03/30/2023. The total estimated loss was $712.
Walgreens was the victim of Theft – Retail/Shoplifting at 4600 Coconut Creek Parkway, reported on 03/29/2023. The total estimated loss was $395.
Theft – All Other
A 65-year-old male was the victim of Theft – All Other at Applewood IV on Carambola Cir S was reported on 03/29/2023. The total estimated loss was $450.
Theft – Bicycle
A 30-year-old male was the victim of Theft – A bicycle at 5571 Sr 810 was reported on 03/31/2023. The total estimated loss was $800.
Arrests
Mckinley, Brian Edward, 50, was arrested on a charge of Trespassing-Entry On Property Unlawfully at 5571 W Hillsboro Blvd on 03/28/2023.
Jean, Fritzciana, 21, was arrested on a Burglary Of A Conveyance charge at 6700 Lyons Road on 03/28/2023.
Forresterreid, Cadane Rasean, 31, was arrested on a Domestic Battery By Strangulation charge on 03/31/2023.
Scott, Marvin P., 44, was arrested on a Battery – Simple Touch/Strike charge on 03/31/2023.
Philistin Marie Ange, 42, was arrested on a Touch Or Strike/Battery/Domestic Violence charge on 04/01/2023.
Francisco, Rudolfo, 41, was arrested on a Domestic Violence Injunction Willful Violation charge at 6800 NW 39 Avenue on 04/01/2023.
