Through our joint effort with the Coconut Creek Police Department to share updates with residents, this is a summary of Coconut Creek’s crime and arrests through April 24.

Court Order and/or Domestic Violence Injunction

A 22-year-old female was the victim of A Court Order and/or Domestic Violence Injunction on 04/18/2023.

Fraud – Identity Theft

A 31-year-old female was the victim of Fraud – Identity Theft at Casa Palma on N State Road 7 where her 2022 taxes were filed, by an unknown suspect on 04/18/2023. 

Fraud – Other

A 30-year-old female was the victim of Fraud – Other on NW 49 Terrace on 04/20/2023. 

Fraud – Impersonation

A 75-year-old female was the victim of Fraud – Impersonation on 04/20/2023.

Fraud – Use Of Credit Card

Pool Pros was the victim of Fraud – The use Of a Credit Card on Lyons Technology Parkway was reported on 04/21/2023, where a  stolen credit card was used to purchase pool cleaning equipment. The total estimated loss was $1,900.

Police Assist-Other Agency

Police Assist-Other Agency at Baywood Village, three on Carambola Cir S, was reported on 04/18/2023. Victim Zelled $1,000 for property rental in Margate.

Battery – Simple Touch/Strike

A victim of Battery – Simple Touch/Strike at Country Club Lakes on NW 74 Place was reported on 04/19/2023. A male was arrested for Domestic Battery.

A 30-year-old female was a victim of  Battery – Simple Touch/Strike at SOS Children’s Village on NW 59 Place was reported on 04/20/2023. 

Vehicle Theft – Auto

A 19-year-old male was the victim of Vehicle Theft – Auto on NW 39 Avenue on 04/19/2023. 

A 76-year-old male was the victim of Vehicle Theft – Auto on 04/19/2023. 

Burglary – Residence

An 83-year-old female was the victim of Burglary – Residence at Wynmoor was reported on 04/19/2023. The total estimated loss was $3,700. 

Threat Assessment

A Threat Assessment Report at Coconut Creek Elementary on NW 45 Avenue was reported on 04/19/2023. A 3rd-grade student made a threatening statement to a fellow classmate.

Robbery – By Sudden Snatch

An 18-year-old female was the victim of Robbery – By Sudden Snatch at Advenir South was reported on 04/20/2023. The total estimated loss was $750.

Arrests

Mayorga, Katia Gissel, 21, was arrested on a charge of DUI 1st Offense at 4200 W Sample Road on 04/18/2023.

Guevararuiz, Jhon, 30, was arrested on a charge of Operating w/o a Valid License at 4650 W Hillsboro Blvd on 04/18/2023.

Eli, Danny, 48, was arrested on a charge of DUI 1st Offense at 5400 W Sample Road on 04/19/2023.

Licea, Nelson Alberto, 57, was arrested on a Touch Or Strike/Battery/Domestic Violence charge at 5740 NW 74 Place on 04/19/2023.

Heerawan, Amit Keshav, 26, was arrested on a Court Order and/or Domestic Violence Injunction charge on 04/19/2023.

Love, Jacarey Lejuan, 23, was arrested on a Vehicle Theft – Auto charge at 6800 NW 39 Avenue on 04/19/2023.

Bryan, Teran Korain, 32, was arrested on a Weapon – Unlawful Discharge charge on 04/20/2023.

Jean Baptiste, Kendrich, 21, was arrested on a Robbery By Sudden Snatching charge on 04/20/2023.
