Through our joint effort with the Coconut Creek Police Department to share updates with residents, this is a summary of Coconut Creek’s crime and arrests through May 29.

Battery

A 45-year-old female was the Battery – Simple Touch/Strike victim on NW 35 Street, reported on 05/23/2023.

A 52-year-old female at Evergreen was the victim of Battery – Simple Touch/Strike. Domestic Battery by Strangulation was reported on: 05/24/2023.  

Theft – Auto Parts/Accessories

A 24-year-old male was the victim of Theft – Auto Parts/Accessories at The Township on NW 42nd Avenue was reported on: 05/23/2023. An airbag was stolen from a Honda Accord. The total estimated loss was: $500. 

Property-Lost/Stolen

Property-Lost/Stolen at Extra Space Storage on W Hillsboro Blvd was reported on: 05/23/2023. 

Property-Lost/Stolen at Windsor Apartments on Lyons Road was reported on: 05/23/2023. Amazon Packages were reported missing.

Theft – Retail/Shoplifting

Home Depot was the victim of Theft – Retail/Shoplifting on N State Road 7 was reported on: 05/26/2023. The total estimated loss was: $2,212. 

Walgreens was the victim of Theft – Retail/Shoplifting on N State Road 7 was reported on: 05/24/2023. The total estimated loss was: $549. A female entered the Walgreens, put 29 bottles of eye drops in a backpack, and exited the store all in about 90 seconds. 

The Guitar Center was the victim of Theft – Retail/Shoplifting on Lyons Road. The theft of the blue tooth speaker system was reported on: 05/26/2023. The total estimated loss was: $279. 

Theft – From Building

A 59-year-old female was the victim of Theft – From a Building at Publix on Coconut Creek Parkway. A stolen iPhone was reported on: 05/28/2023. The total estimated loss was: $800. 

Fraud – Worthless Check/Obtain Property

A 59-year-old male was the victim of Fraud – Worthless Check/Obtain Property on Coconut Creek Parkway reported on 05/24/2023. The total estimated loss was: $5,000. 

A 77-year-old female was the Fraud – Wire/Computer/Atm victim was reported on: 05/26/2023. The total estimated loss was: $2,000. 

Vehicle Theft – Auto

A 39-year-old female was the victim of Vehicle Theft – Auto was reported on: 05/24/2023. The total estimated loss was: $2,200.

Disorderly Conduct

Disorderly Conduct at Lyons Creek Middle School at 4333 Sol Press Blvd was reported on: 05/25/2023. A Lyons Creek, Middle 8th-grade student caused a major school disruption.

Disturbance – Other

Disturbance – Other at Tradewinds Elementary on Johnson Road was reported on: 05/25/2023. An employee reports receiving anonymous letters that are potentially harassing in nature.

Robbery- By Sudden Snatch

A 58-year-old female was the Robbery-By Sudden Snatch victim on W Atlantic Blvd, reported on: 05/25/2023. The total estimated loss was: $799. 

Arrests

Ellis, Trayshawn, Leon, 24, was arrested on a charge of Flee Elude Leo/Lights/Siren Active at 4701 W Sample Road on 05/23/2023.

Joinervilchez, Matthew, Roger, 24, was arrested on a Touch Or Strike/Battery/Domestic Violence charge on 05/24/2023.

Burgess, Justin, Patrick, 32, was arrested on a Domestic Battery By Strangulation charge on 05/24/2023.

Neito, Luis, Nava, 36, was arrested on a Child Abuse or Dependency charge at 5400 Johnson Road on 05/24/2023.

Sierracarrillo, Estrella, Paola, 23, was arrested on a Battery – Simple Touch/Strike charge on 05/28/2023.
