To commemorate Jewish American Heritage and remember the Holocaust, the City of Coconut Creek is hosting a series of art workshops as part of the “Never Forget Cultural Series.”

The workshops aim to provide the community with a creative platform to express their thoughts and emotions surrounding these significant aspects of history.

Facilitated by the Parks & Recreation Department, they invite participants of all ages to engage in the artistic process under the guidance of instructors, where attendees will have the opportunity to create unique pieces of art that reflect Jewish American heritage and serve as tributes to those who were affected by the Holocaust.

Artwork produced during these workshops will be showcased during the Jewish American Heritage Remembrance event on Thursday, May 16, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the City of Coconut Creek Commission Chambers at 4800 West Copans Road.

The workshops are divided into three sessions catering to different age groups:

All workshops will take place at the Recreation Complex, 4455 Sol Press Boulevard. The organizers will provide supplies and tools necessary for creating the artwork.

Participation in the workshops is free; however, registration is required as space is limited to 20 participants per session. Interested individuals can register online at CoconutCreek.net/WebTrac or through walk-in registration at the Recreation Complex or the Community Center at 1100 Lyons Road.
