The City of Coconut Creek has announced a new program to help young athletes improve their volleyball skills and physical conditioning.
The Volleyball Strength and Conditioning program will focus on essential skills such as passing, setting, hitting, serving, and blocking. Participants will also engage in conditioning and agility training.
This program is open to children ages 9 to 12, with age determined as of August 31, 2025. Sessions will be held on Thursdays from November 7 through December 19, with no classes on November 28 and December 5.
Two separate age groups will meet: Session 1, for ages 9 to 10, runs from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Session 2, for ages 11 to 12, will meet from 7:45 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.
The program takes place at the Community Center, located at 1100 Lyons Road, and is priced at $40 per session for Coconut Creek residents and $50 per session for non-residents. Please note that payment can only be made by credit card.
Registration is now open and will continue until all spots are filled, but space is limited to 12 participants per session. Interested families can register online at CoconutCreek.net/Webtrac or in person at the Community Center or the Recreation Complex at 4455 Sol Press Boulevard.
