Dive into the Magical world of Disney's 'The Little Mermaid Jr.' with the Coconut Creek Youth Theater

By Kevin Maher

Coconut Creek’s Youth Theater program is presenting their rendition of Disney’s “The Little Mermaid Jr.” as a free-to-the-public event.

Doors open for the live presentation at noon on Saturday, May 20, at the Recreation Complex, located at 4455 Sol Press Blvd. All ages are welcome to attend, but children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

The Youth Theater program is designed to teach theater and the performing arts to children ages 9 to 14. The actors performing have been hard at work since February 22, learning character breakdown, direction, vocal projecting, set and prop building, and more.

The Youth Theater’s rendition of Disney’s “The Little Mermaid Jr.” is presented through a special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI), with MTI supplying all authorized performance materials.
