The Marjory Stoneman Douglas Eagle Regiment took first place in The Falcon Sound Invitational on Saturday.
Hosted by Flanagan High School, the annual event included 18 other bands from around South Florida.
In addition to being named as Grand Champions of the show, the Stoneman Douglas Eagle Regiment was also awarded first place in Class 4-A, Best in Class Music, Best in Class General Effect, and Best in Class Percussion.
On Wednesday, October 6, the band is holding a fundraiser at Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza to benefit the 2021-2022 band season.
Diners can show their support by dining in person, ordering online, or placing a take-out order between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. at 9521 Westview Drive in Coral Springs. Anthony’s will donate 20 percent of all orders to support the musicians and color guard.
