A new sushi restaurant is soon opening in Parkland, and it comes with a twist.
Sushiato is preparing to open its doors in Parkland Commons and combines Japanese food with Latin Fusion, using a mix of tropical flavors.
The new restaurant will be located at the former site of Doggy Stylz Pet Grooming at 7961 N University Drive.
According to the company’s website, the owners originally came to Miami from Venezuela and opened two locations in Brickell and Weston. They also operate a delivery and to-go service around the country, including in California and Oregon.
Sushiato’s menu includes specialties such as sashimi, nigiri, poke bowls, teriyaki options from the grill, and a variety of sushi rolls like Maui, California, moon, falcon, and various ceviche dishes, and tiraditos.
Neither an owner nor a property manager was available to give information on an approximate opening date.
