Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through September 13, 2021.
Burglary Residence
NW 64th Pl.
On Sept. 8, deputies received a delayed report of a residential burglary. A juvenile burglar made entry to the residence through an unlocked garage window. Once inside the home, the burglar removed clothing, money, and footwear with a total estimated value of $3,150. The victim recovered her property from the juvenile’s father, minus $800. The victim chose not to prosecute.
Domestic Disturbance
NW 88th Mnr.
On Sept. 8, deputies received a report of a Sept. 4 incident in which a wife reportedly cut the tires of her husband’s vehicle with a knife. The husband advised that no other incidents had occurred—the husband seeking advice from his rabbi moving forward.
Missing Person
NW 127th Way
On Sept. 11, a female ran away from the residence where her father worked as a general laborer. The daughter went to an aunt’s house in Coral Springs, and the aunt contacted the father. The child was returned to the father unharmed and healthy.
Property Damage
NW 123rd Ave.
On Sept. 8, a stop sign was knocked down by an unknown vehicle.
NW 80th Ter.
On Sept. 9, a well pipe to a residence was damaged by an Uber Eats driver.
Runaway
NW 120th Dr.
On Sept. 7, a 15-year-old female was reported missing. Juvenile believed to be in Miami where mother previously resided. Juvenile entered into teletype.
Stalking
No address provided
On Sept. 10, deputies responded about a follow-up for a stalking case.
Theft
State Rd. 7
On Sept. 9, a person wearing a mask entered a store and used a hand truck to wheel out 11 cases of Red Bull, worth an estimated $385. Subject loaded the drinks into a U-Haul van and drove away.
Threat Assessment Report
5901 Pine Island Rd.
On Sept. 8, deputies received a report of a Sept. 3 incident at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in which two juvenile males had an altercation in the school’s lunchroom. One juvenile male made verbal threats to the other juvenile male. No further action was taken.
