From Mayor Christine Hunschofsky:
As November begins, we welcome back one of our favorite events in the City of Parkland.
Farmers’ Market
The Parkland Farmers’ Market is back this month, starting on November 3 from 9 am-1 pm at the Equestrian Center. On Sunday, November 17, there will also be a craft fair at the Farmers’ Market. Make sure you don’t miss out on the delicious foods and goodies at the market.
Veterans Day
Veterans Day is a special holiday in November when we honor all those who served in our armed forces. We are all grateful for their service to our country and their selflessness. Our veterans have dedicated themselves and sacrificed so much for our country and our freedoms. Please join us at Parkland Veteran’s Park on November 11 at 11:00 am for Parkland’s Veterans Day Ceremony to honor our Veterans.
Pre-Thanksgiving Interfaith Unity Service
Every year, the Interfaith Coalition of Coral Springs and Parkland hosts a Pre-Thanksgiving Interfaith Unity Service where clergy and people from all different faiths come together to give thanks. It is a wonderful service that reminds us that we are all connected and that we are all in this journey together. The service is a beautiful opportunity to join the community, reflect, and give thanks. This year’s service will be on Tuesday, November 26, at 7:00 pm at First Church Coral Springs at 8650 W. Sample Road in Coral Springs. I hope you will be able to join us to kick off the Thanksgiving holiday.
With our hectic schedules, it’s not often we have any extra time in our days. Thankfully, we “fall back” and pick up an extra hour on November 3, so don’t forget to set your clocks back.
This month take a moment to stop, take a breath, notice the good things around you and think about what you’re thankful for.
Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to serve you and this wonderful city and wishing you and your family a very Happy Thanksgiving.
