Parkland Soccer Club hosts its year-end picnic on Feb. 26 at Pine Trails Park Amphitheater.
The event, which runs from 9:30 a.m.–2 p.m., celebrates players, their parents, as well as sponsors and volunteers.
Carvel will be on hand providing free ice cream for players, Eddie B. and Company will be playing music, and Premier Bounce & Slide will be on site with rides. The Parkland International Music Academy Band also will perform a set.
The trophy presentation begins at 10:30 a.m. Scholarships also will be awarded to several college-bound seniors.
The event concludes with a”coaches vs. referees” soccer game at 2 p.m.
Participants are asked to bring cleats, gently used shoes and/or sneakers, and soccer gear donated to children in need.
