17 North Broward Prep Student-Athletes Win Conference Awards

North Broward Prep had an incredible winter season highlighted by three teams making a run to Regionals.

Ryan and Riley Weiss were picked as the First Team All-Conference for their respective teams. Ryan, set to play a postgraduate year at St. Andrew’s School, averaged 16.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, and two assists per game for the Eagles. He also set the school record with 86 three-pointers and helped NBP win their first District Championship in 20 years after NBP went 22-8 and reached the Regional Final.

Riley also shined, breaking multiple school records for the girls basketball team, including breaking the single-game scoring record, single-season 3-point record, single-season scoring record, and single-season steals mark. She averaged 28.8 points per game as the girls basketball team also won Districts and reached the Regional Final.

The final First Team All-Conference member was Leah Finkelman. The University of Penn signee scored a school-record 35 goals this season and finished with 113 career goals and 290 career points. She was also named FHSAA Florida Dairy Farmers Academic ALl-State Team after helping the Eagles made a run to the Regional Semifinals with 14 wins.

Enrico Borio, Sumayah Brown, and Cailey Katz were picked for the Second Team All-Conference. At the same time, Lila Brown, Zoie Brown, Laila Dionisio, Ivory Edgecomb, Eduarda Kroschinsky, Ella Munoz, Zachary Brown, Maxwell Galperin, Franco Perri, Alexa Schwartz, and Kaydie Strum were Honorable Mentions.
