3 NBP Lacrosse Players Selected to Heritage Cup; 3 Teams Hold Senior Night

North Broward Prep boys lacrosse team is officially sending three players to compete in the Heritage Cup in Philadelphia to represent Team Israel, while the school also held three senior nights.

The Heritage Cup is a multi-tiered tournament that began in 2002. It has 16 teams and will feature freshman Cody Miller, sophomore Chase Rosenstrauch, and junior Chandler Ripps. These three players have combined for 47 goals this year, with Ripps leading the team with 31 goals. Players will also get the chance to watch the final four of the NCAA Lacrosse Tournament.

 The boys lacrosse team also held Senior Night on Thursday in their game against John Carroll Catholic. Hunter Clouse, Landon Krasner, Nolan Corcoran, Alec Dubin, and Daniel Katz were all recognized before recording a 13-5 victory.

“The five seniors this season truly left their mark on the program and have now set us up for a continued upward trajectory,” Head Coach Josh Blumenthal said.

Corcoran and Ripps each scored three goals, while Alec Dubina and Georgie Quatela scored twice. Brandon Moldof, Cody Miller, and Chase Rosenstrauch recorded goals, with Dubin and Ryder Schwartz picking up assists. Katz, Christoper Mugavero, and Daniel Tabraue played in net and combined for seven saves.

The Eagles also have wins against Coral Springs High School, Coral Reef, Cooper City, Pine, and West Boca Raton Community High School this year. They also outscored their opponents 69-23 in those games.

The girls lacrosse team honored Kylie Taylor, Briana Klein, Siena Heyman, Kaydie Sturm, and Hailey Berger before a 10-9 win in overtime. The Eagles also have wins against West Boca Raton Community High School, Cooper City, Coral Glades, and Palmer Trinity 57-32

The beach volleyball team also held Senior Night before their 3-2 loss against Somerset Academy Canyons. The Eagles are winless this year as a team but have won eight individual matches.
