Calling All High School Students: Join the 2023 Voter Registration Drive and Make Your Voice Heard

The Supervisor of Elections Office is again gearing up for their annual High School Voter Registration Drive (HSVRD), set to run from April 1 to April 30, 2023.

Partnering with Broward County Public Schools, this initiative aims to educate students about the power of their vote and get them registered to make their voices heard.

For the entire month of April, election officials will visit approximately 40 local high schools in Broward County to help students and staff conduct their voter registration drives. The school with the most registered students will be awarded by the Supervisor of Elections,

It’s important to note that Florida law allows eligible students who are 16 and 17 years of age to pre-register to vote. And high school students 18 years old can register to vote if they are U.S. citizens and have no felony convictions without their rights being restored.

The High School Voter Registration Drive aims to register at least 12,000 students this school year.
