Marjory Stoneman Douglas football has produced another terrific offensive lineman after Aris Skarecki announced he officially commits to playing college football at Keiser University.
Skarecki will become the sixth former Eagle offensive linemen to play college football next season, joining Cory and Gage Gaynor, Michael McLaughlin, Nick Weber, and Demetri Robinson.
“It’s a great weight lifted off my shoulders knowing that the pressure of where and if I’m going to play in the next level is off,” Skaracki said. “It’s a really great feeling to say officially that I am going to play at the next level.”
Skarecki finished his high school career as a three-year starter with MSD. He was a part of two District Championships while playing in 22 varsity games and winning 16.
Skarecki blocked for running backs Matthew Wilson, A.J Darring, Derek Geffrard, Christopher Darius, Brian Smith, and Alex Rodriguez and protected for quarterbacks Matt O’Dowd, Ryan Spallina, and Hunter Rose.
In December, he also had a chance to compete in the Broward-Dade and SWFL vs. SFL Sandviper All-Star Game.

“I just love seeing our guys get an opportunity to get a degree and continue to play football,” said Head Coach Quentin Short. “It just really lets people know that we are developing young men and that we have really good football players.”
Skarecki, a resident of Coral Springs, has been around the sport of football his entire life with his father, Robert, who he says has been his biggest influence. Once Skarecki turned six, he started playing for the Coral Springs Chargers under his father and has not stopped since.
After receiving offers from multiple schools, Skarecki says his decision to attend Keiser came down to the relationships he made while attending a summer camp there. He also built a terrific relationship with his teammates at MSD and gave them credit for his success as well.
“Playing with all the amazing lineman before me was a blessing,” Skarecki added. “It was a privilege to bond and learn from them. Many of the tricks and techniques I use I learned from them.”
Skarecki will graduate from MSD this spring and joins a program that reached the postseason last year and went 9-3. He will also be joining former teammate Jahrel Wilson at Keiser.
