A 25-year-old mother was arrested Wednesday after she allegedly pointed a gun at another driver during a road rage incident in Coconut Creek – with her 6-year-old daughter seated next to her, according to police.

Tabresha Ranese Jackson, of Miramar, is accused of pulling a Glock .43 pistol from her center console and pointing it out her window at a driver at Banks Road and Coconut Creek Parkway, according to an arrest report.

The female victim had honked her car horn after Jackson suddenly cut her off amid a traffic jam shortly after 8 a.m. Wednesday, police said. Jackson began “yelling and screaming [out] her window” and pointed the gun, the report states.

The victim was in fear for her life and ducked down in her car to protect herself, she told Coconut Creek Police. She was not hurt.

When police tracked down Jackson in the area of Atlantic Boulevard and Lyons Road, she admitted to having a gun in her car but later said she did not brandish or point the gun, the records state. Police said the Glock had been in “easy reach” of Jackson’s daughter, who was not hurt.

Police said the victim, who was also unhurt, took a picture of Johnson’s license plate and called 911 to describe the vehicle. Records state that she later identified Jackson in a lineup.

Jackson was arrested, taken to HCA Florida Northwest Hospital in Margate for medical clearance, and later jailed at the BSO Main Jail. Court records did not indicate whether she has since been released on bond.

Jackson is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, child neglect, driving with a learner’s permit without a licensed driver in the car, and an illegal window tint, records show.
