North Broward Prep’s Alex Wigginton is officially committed to continuing his football career at Tulane University in New Orleans.

He says it’s great to be committed to his dream school and will be attending the same school as his mother.

“Having a strong support system with family, friends, and coaches made me embrace the recruiting process and helped me make the right decision for my family and me,” Wigginton said.

Wigginton started playing football in seventh grade in New York before transferring to North North Broward Prep for his junior year. While he originally wanted to play basketball, Wigginton fell in love with football and shined on the varsity team while competing for the NBP basketball team

During his two years playing football with the Eagles, NBP won nine games, playing quarterback and defense. When deciding where to play in college, Wigginton loved the brotherhood built there.

“The entire coaching staff cares about each student and wants them to succeed, Wigginton added. “Academics is extremely important as well, and a prestigious University like Tulane was exactly where I wanted to be. “

Before enrolling in college, Wigginton hopes to get stronger and faster and try to become their best teammate. Tulane had an incredible season winning 12 games, including the AAC Championship and the Cotton Bowl Game against USC.
