Parkland Crime Update: “Ding Dong Ditch” and Dispute Over Dog

Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through December 27, 2021. 

Domestic Disturbance

Watercrest Cir. W.

On 12/25/2021, deputies arrived on the scene and made contact with all parties. A male juvenile stated he was a victim of domestic battery, however, no signs of a physical altercation were observed.

Information

N. Barnsley Dr.

On 12/22/2021, several juveniles from the neighborhood were viewed by the homeowners coming onto their property, checking the door handle to their car, and then walking up toward their front door, about to play ding dong ditch. They ran away when they observed the Ring doorbell camera.

NW 62nd Ct.

On 12/22/2021, the reporter stated an unknown subject on foot took pictures of his house and gave him dirty looks.

On 12/23/2021, there was a dispute over the whereabouts of a dog dropped off at the Puppy Plus pet store.

Property Damage

N. State Road 7

On 12/24/2021, vehicles made contact while moving through a car wash.
