Parkland Crime Update: Domestic Battery and Stolen BMW

Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through April 4, 2022.

Auto Theft

NW. 93rd Dr.

Unknown suspect(s) stole the victim’s BMW on 3/28/2022. The owner advised that there is only one key fob to the vehicle, and it is unknown if the key was in it.

Battery

NW 76th St.

On 04/02/2022, there was a physical disturbance, and the suspect was taken into custody. They were transported to the BSO main jail.

Burglary Residence

NW 77th Mnr.

On 3/28/2022, a victim reported his 9mm Sig Arms P365 handgun, valued at $599, stolen from the center console of his unlocked BMW. He stated that he left the garage door open overnight and that the handgun was taken from the car while parked in the garage. Tot. Est. Loss: $668.

Information

5901 Pine Island Rd.

On 04/01/2022, someone at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School was intimidated by a parent over a game performance. The parent yelled at MSD Staff to have his daughter play the way she wanted during games.

11000 Holmberg Rd.

On 04/01/2022, at Westglades Middle School, SRO Deputies met with the school’s assistant principal regarding a report of mental illness of a student.

Theft

Parkland Bay Dr.

On 03/29/2022, unknown subjects damaged and removed the fence line that prevented public access to the community of Parkland Bay. Tot. Est. Loss: $3,500.

Gardens Ct.

On 03/31/2022, a victim reported the theft of their 14k gold heart ring and approximately 65 silver dollars.

Tot. Est. Loss: $1,501.

Arrest

Allen Levine, 66, was arrested on charges of Battery-on Person 65 Years Of Age or older on 04/03/2022.
