Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through July 25, 2022.
Auto Theft
NW 127th Way
On 07/22/2022, an unknown subject(s) stole the victim’s 2020 white Infinity Q60S 2 door from his driveway without his permission or authority. The victim advised the vehicle was left unlocked with the other key fob inside. The vehicle has no tracking system available. Area canvass was completed.
Animal Bite
NW 69th Pl.
On 07/21/2022, a man alleged he was walking his dog on the sidewalk, and a tan-colored dog raced out from the garage of the residence he was in front of and attacked his dog.
Criminal Mischief
Ranch Rd.
On 07/20/2022, a Tesla owner found her driver’s side rear tire flat when she returned from walking her dog. A small slice was observed in the sidewall of the tire. The victim did not have the Tesla Model Y`s Sentry Mode on, which would have activated the cameras on the vehicle. The victim did not see anyone near/around the car when she got there.
Property Damage
Parkland Bay Dr.
On 07/21/2022, an unknown subject(s) shattered the victim’s 2021 black GMC Yukon’s right passenger side window with an unknown tool(s) or object(s) while the vehicle was stationary in his driveway but did not make entry into the car. Damage valued at $400. No witnesses currently.
Runaway
NW 123rd Ave.
On 07/24/2022, a man advised he allowed his daughter to have some friends over. At one point, he told the daughter that all the friends had to go home, at which point the father started to do laundry. The reporting person advised that soon after he checked his daughter`s bedroom, he noticed his daughter had run away. Missing Person was entered into BSO Teletype.
Suspicious Person
Eden Manor
On 07/24/2022, two unknown suspects, dressed in all dark clothing, wearing gloves and possibly hoodies, were around the caller’s car. When confronted, they ran off—no entry to the vehicle.
Theft
NW 128th Ln.
On 07/21/2022, deputies reported a delayed theft of a traffic control post fashioned out of a six-foot length of PVC piping. No CCTV camera footage. The total cost to replace the post will be approximately $300.
