Parkland Couple Arrested For Stealing From Husband’s Business Partner

Shane and Sabrina Santacroce

A Parkland man and his wife were arrested earlier this month for running up more than $25,000 in personal expenses on a business partner’s American Express account, court records show.

Among the unauthorized purchases made by Shane Santacroce, 44, of 6803 NW 116 Ave., were more than 400 Amazon transactions, a cell phone bill payment, and two pairs of Nikes, according to an arrest affidavit.

Broward Sheriff’s Office Parkland District investigators said Santacroce used his wife’s name, email address, and shipping information to make the purchases—without his business partner’s permission—in 2017 and 2018. The business was called Once Upon a Time Consulting, the affidavit states.

When confronted by his partner about some of the fraudulent charges, Santacroce excused some as innocent mistakes and denied committing any fraud, according to investigators.

After Santacroce declined to admit the suspected thievery, the victim called BSO, records show.

Shane Santacroce was arrested on an open warrant in the case on Sept. 9.

His wife, Sabrina Santacroce, 33, of 3641 Turtle Run Blvd. in Coral Springs, turned herself in to authorities the following day and, like her husband, was charged with grand theft in the second degree, according to an arrest affidavit.

Records show both Shane and Sabrina Santacroce were booked into the Broward Main Jail and released on a $3,500 bond.

Shane Santacroce’s website states he is a “mentor and thought-leader in marketing, business, and addiction.”

According to his business website, Santacroce is the Chief Executive Officer of Better Addiction Care, a free national online resource of treatment centers, and the founder of KO Addiction; a non-profit organization focused on fundraising, awareness, and education for people with mental health and substance abuse disorders.
