Car Burglary, DUI, and Theft: This Week in Parkland Crime

Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through November 2.

Battery

Old Club Rd – Parkland Golf & Country Club

On October 31, the victims advised while they were fishing in their neighborhood, they were attacked by three unknown subjects causing minor injuries.

Burglary Conveyance

2100 block of NW 69th Ct – Heron Bay

On November 1, a 2017 blue Mercedes that was left unlocked was rummaged through. Nothing was taken.

12100 block of NW 72nd St – Heron Bay

On November 1 an unknown subject entered the victim’s car without his permission and ransacked the interior. No property was reported taken.

6800 block of NW 117th Ave – Heron Bay

Between October 30 and November 1, the victim alleged that between the listed date and time an unknown suspect(s) entered the vehicle and removed his wallet and handgun. The vehicle was unlocked parked in the driveway of the residence.

Driving Under the Influence

12600 Loxahatchee Rd, Pompano Beach, FL,

On October 31, Malik Pierre was involved in a traffic crash at the listed location. Contact was made with Pierre just south of the intersection. A DUI investigation was conducted and Pierre was subsequently arrested.

Information

10555 Trails End – Pine Trails Park

On October 27, a caller observed an adult female removing campaign signs from the curbside. She Suspect confirmed that she initially removed three signs after voting but placed the signs back on the curbside.

10700 Trails End – Park Trails Elementary

On October 28, a mother contacted the school in reference to her 11-year-old daughter chatting online with unknown subjects while using a school laptop. The incident took place back in September 2020.

6500 block of NW 97th Dr

On October 28, a female advised BSO that she has been receiving phone calls from an unknown male subject.

10555 Trails End – Pine Trails Park

On October 28, a report was completed to document an election-related incident at PineTrails Park.

Theft

5901 Hillsboro Blvd – BJs Wholesale

On October 29, the manager found empty boxes of electronics. Total loss of $299.92.

9400 block of Eden Manor – Parkland Golf & Country Club

On October 28, a subject was reported missing on October 27 out of West Palm Beach. The subject was found in Parkland Golf & Country Club. They’re removed from the missing person’s database and taken home by a family friend.

Arrest

Pierre, Malik Christopher (B M, 24) was arrested and charged with Dui Alcohol Or Drugs 1st Offense at 12600 Loxahatchee Rd, Pompano Beach, on 10/31/2020.
