The City of Coconut Creek has announced the upcoming retirement of Police Chief Albert “Butch” Arenal, effective June 20, 2024.
Appointed in 2015, According to City Manager Sheila Rose, his commitment has shaped his approach to leadership and contributed significantly to the Police Department’s successes.
Rose added, “As we prepare for this transition, our focus will now shift towards strengthening our internal relationships and community engagement within the Police Department.”
An interim Police Chief will be appointed by the end of this week, ensuring a smooth transition as the City continues to prioritize public safety and internal cohesion.
“We wish Chief Arenal all the best in the next chapter of his life,” said Rose.
