This winter, Coconut Creek is holding a cultural event, “Holiday Cultures of Winter,” inviting residents and visitors to immerse themselves in a journey across global winter traditions.

This family-friendly festivity is scheduled for December 14 to 16 and promises a unique blend of music, crafts, games, and diverse culinary delights.

The event showcases a rich tapestry of celebrations, featuring the African heritage through Kwanzaa, the Chinese New Year, Italy’s Carnival, and Norway’s Festival of Lights.

Attendees can expect various activities, including interactive photo opportunities and a dedicated toddler play area, ensuring fun for all ages.

The Holiday Cultures of Winter takes place at the Recreation Complex, 4455 Sol Press Boulevard, offering a chance for community members to come together and appreciate the diversity in our world.

Open from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on December 14 and 15 and from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on December 16, the event is accessible to all, with a modest entry fee of $10 per day for Coconut Creek residents and $15 for non-residents.

Registration is mandatory for all participants, with options available online at CoconutCreek.net/WebTrac or in person at the Recreation Complex and the Community Center, located at 1100 Lyons Road.

Interested parties should note that space is limited and are encouraged to register promptly. For those needing assistance creating a WebTrac account, the Recreation Complex staff is available at 954-956-1580.

The event is a cashless affair, accepting only credit card payments. This innovative approach streamlines the entry process and ensures a smooth experience for attendees.
