COVID-19 Testing Sites Near Parkland

One of the most frequent questions we get is, “Where can I get a COVID test?”  With over 130 positive cases in Parkland as of July 9, residents are concerned they may have been exposed.

The Division of Emergency Management provides a comprehensive list of testing centers. Included are walkup locations — and many do not require appointments.

Make sure you wear your mask, bring a driver’s license, and in some cases, prepare to wait.

Coral Springs – Mullins Park

10000 Ben Geiger Drive Coral Springs, FL 33065. Hours of Operation: Mon. – Fri. 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Testing Criteria: All ages, regardless of symptoms. Appointments: 954-412-7300.

Publix at Coral Ridge Parking Lot

11600 West Sample Road, Coral Springs. Testing Hours: Monday-Friday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Who can be tested: Anyone over the age of 18, with our without symptoms. Test results in 5-7 days through Quest Diagnostics. This test is free.

MD Now Urgent Care IGG Antibody Testing Only No Appointment Necessary

Who can be tested: anyone with symptoms, or who has been exposed but must call first for Telemedicine Consult to determine if the person should come in. If insured, you will pay the copay for urgent care. If uninsured, they will charge $89 for the test only, and $120 if you want to see a doctor.

Who can be tested: Anyone with symptoms. First Responders will get priority even with minimal symptoms, as will elderly patients. No referral needed.

$69 for the test plus copay if insured. If not insured, $69 plus $140 for the visit.

Boulevard Heights Community Center

Mitchell Moore Park – Walk Through Testing Site

901 NW 10th Street, Pompano Beach

Testing Hours: Friday-Wednesday, 9 a.m. -6 p.m. or until reaching 200 tests per day. Closed on Thursdays.

Who can be tested: Anyone with COVID-19 symptoms.

Staffed by National Guard, DOH, and BSO.

Broward Health Annie L. Weaver Health Center

Broward Health has expanded its COVID-19 testing at its Pompano Beach walk-up site. All patients must continue to pre-register prior to visiting the Annie L. Weaver Health Center, located at 2011 NW Third Ave., Pompano Beach.

The site expanded to include children as young as 2 years old on Tuesday, July 7 and will operate from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., by appointment only.

To schedule a time to be tested, patients must have a written script from a physician and then call Nurse Connect at (954) 320-5730 to register. If patients do not have a primary care physician and need assistance, they can still call (954) 320-5730 to speak with a registered nurse through Nurse Connect. Photo ID for adults, the written prescription for COVID-19 testing, and registration is required at the mobile testing site to be swabbed and tested.

Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium

Testing Hours: 9 a.m. -5 p.m. By appointment only. Call between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to preregister

Who can be tested: Must have a written prescription from a physician and must preregister.
If you need a prescription for testing, you may be screened via the Broward Health Telehealth App. Or call 1-844-733-3627 for a Telehealth screening and prescription. You must meet the CDC and DOH Testing guidelines for testing. Must bring proper ID and confirmation number from the preregistration call center.

C.B. Smith Park

Testing Hours: Daily 9:00 a.m. -5:00 p.m.

Who can be tested: Anyone 18 and over. You must have COVID-19 symptoms and be prepared to show ID. Beginning June 9, children of any age can be tested, regardless of symptoms. All south Florida residents can be tested regardless of symptoms. Retesting of individuals with previous COVID-19 positive results. (must wait at least 14 days from the initial positive test) All First Responders and healthcare workers regardless of symptoms.

Cleveland Clinic Florida

Testing Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. -5 p.m. by appointment only

Who can be tested: Only those who meet the CDC screening criteria for testing. Must call first, will be given a confirmation number and an appointment time if the nurse determines the person meets the criteria.

In-Home testing for homebound elderly or disabled residents

Testing Hours: Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. -.Noon, and 1 p.m.- 4 p.m. by appointment only

Who can be tested: Homebound Broward county residents who are elderly or disabled and experiencing symptoms, and cannot get to a testing site. Run by DOH with help from AMR and CAS.

At the testing locations, Walgreens pharmacists will oversee the self-administration of Abbott’s new ID NOW COVID-19 test.
