A Grand Opening celebration was held for MOD Pizza who opened the doors of their first Florida store in the City of Parkland on Tuesday with all proceeds going to charity.
“We are thrilled to open our first Florida MOD Pizza in Parkland and to introduce the community to a new way of enjoying pizza,” said Brick Kerge, Vice President of Operations for BBX’s MOD Pizza business in Florida.

MOD Pizza features individual, artisan-style pizza made on-demand in minutes using fresh pressed dough and signature sauces hand-cooked in an 800-degree oven in just minutes. Salads are individually hand-tossed for each customer, and the restaurant serves up hand spun milkshakes, house-made lemonades and iced teas, and local craft beers and wine.
How it works is customers create their own pizzas and salads using any combination of over 30 featured toppings, or they can choose from a menu of MOD classics all for a fixed price of $7.97. At their Grand Opening event, the first 52 people in line received free pizzas followed by a celebratory ribbon cutting ceremony by Parkland Mayor Christine Hunschofsky and the city commission.
The event had giveaways with Y-100 including tickets to Fergie, Jingle Ball, BeBe Rexha and passes to the Nick Jonas cruise. All pizza sales were donated to the Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation, a local South Florida non-profit founded by Chicago Cubs First Baseman and Parkland native Anthony Rizzo, which raises money for cancer research providing support to children and their families battling the disease.
General Manager, and New York native Adam Greenberg said he is looking forward to serving the Parkland community. “We care about every guest that comes through that door and we care about our employees. We like to give back to our communities and do wonderful things.”

MOD Super Fast Pizza Holdings, LLC was founded in Seattle in 2008 by entrepreneur husband and wife team Scott and Ally Svenson. With more than 260 locations across 24 states and the United Kingdom, the company said they are committed to creating not only a cool place to eat, but an inspired place to work. The 2,400-square foot Parkland store includes a large outdoor patio, original artwork and hand painted mural by local South Florida artist Ruben Ubiera and MOD’s signature “Wall of Fame” – a photo collage that pays homage to the local community and people from the MOD journey.
Along with the incredible pizza, Brick Kerge said the MOD brand is a purpose led organization that is committed to making a positive impact on as many lives as possible by offering well-paying jobs, career development opportunities, and partnering with local non-profits that support the community. “We call it ‘Spreading MODness’ and are excited to bring it to Parkland.”
MOD Pizza is located at 7171 N. State Road 7 in the Shoppes of Parkland. Hours of operation are Monday through Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
