The Marjory Stoneman Douglas Drama Club presents “The Importance of Being Earnest,” a farcical comedy from 1895 on escaping burdensome societal expectations.
After several major wins, including winning eight ‘Cappies’ at the South Florida Critics’ Award Program earlier in 2022, MSD’s drama club has been lighting the acting world on fire.
The Importance of Being Earnest features some of MSD’s brightest, including Jacob Harris as John Worthing, J.P., Nicholas Bedusa as Algernon Moncrieff, Naomi Sternberg as Hon. Gwendolen Fairfax, Pearl Mass as Lady Bracknell, Sydney Lotz as Miss Prism, Melissa Azzarito as Cecily Cardew, and Nicholas Lemus as Rev. Canon Chasuble, D.D.
Everyone in the community is invited to enjoy the two-hour show, and there will be an intermission midway through to purchase concessions.
There are two shows only on Thursday, November 3, and Friday, November 4, 2022, at 7 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased in advance online or in person for $15 or $8 for thespians, who will be required to show proof of membership at the door.
