Parkland Crime Update: Death Investigation After Woman’s Fall

Abandoned Vehicle 

7300 Nob Hill Rd.

On 07/06/2022, a vehicle was abandoned on Nob Hill Rd. Contact was made with owner by Boca Raton Police Department. The owner advised that the vehicle broke down in that location and was advised Westway Towing was towing it because it was obstructing the roadway.

Burglary Conveyance

University Dr.

On 07/10/2022, several trucks/trailers in a parking lot were burglarized. Tot. Est. Loss: $750.

Death Investigation

NW 73rd Ct.

A woman died after suffering an injury from a fall that happened on 02/12/22. The death was reported on 07/06/2022. Additional details were not available.

Found Property

Osprey Tr.

On 07/09/2022, a maintenance worker found a multicolored backpack in the bushes. Inside the backpack was a small multicolored lunch box that contained a glass pipe for apparent drug use, three other containers, and a red lighter. The items were collected, and a property receipt was submitted for safekeeping.

Fraud

NW 116th Ln.

On 07/05/2022, a victim stated that a person unknown used her FSA (Flexible Spending Account) debit card at a Target store in Brooklyn, NY. There were 38 charges totaling $1,526.70.

Watermark Way

On 07/05/2022, deputies received a report of a neighbor dispute involving an errant firework that exploded on one neighbor’s patio while he was present. He went to the person who set off the firework, rang their doorbell, and immediately opened their front door to tell them to stop setting off fireworks. A resident of the home requested a report of a neighbor opening her front door without her permission.
