Parkland Crime Update: $34K Stolen From Man’s Safe

Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through June 27, 2022.

Burglary Residence

NW 60th Pl.

On 06/26/2022, a victim advised that a safe and cash were stolen from his residence while he was at work. Tot. Est Loss: $34,320. 

Domestic Disturbance 

NW 58th Ter.

On 06/22/2022, two parties had a verbal altercation regarding the miscarriage of their child. While arguing, a dog stepped on the male subject’s groin area, causing him to react and throw the dog off of him. The dog then made contact with the female party, causing a bump on her right forehead.

Holmberg Rd.

On 06/25/2022, both parties advised they were verbally arguing over one’s drinking problem. Both stated nothing physical occurred.

Information

NW 75th St.

On 06/21/2022, reporting person stated their home security camera captured a suspicious individual walking across their driveway around midnight. It should be noted the reporting person and his family is presently residing at a different location due to renovations being done to their home.

Property Damage

W. Blue Spring Dr.

On 06/21/2022, the reporter alleged that while unloading the cargo from his trailer at a construction site, part of the load shifted and damaged an unoccupied parked vehicle. 

Suspicious Incident

Red Bay Dr.

On 06/22/2022, deputies responded to a suspicious incident where an unknown subject contacted the reporting person demanding money. If they did not get the money, they said they would hurt the reporting person’s mom, making it seem like her parents were being robbed. During this incident, the reporting person was able to get in touch with her father, who advised all was OK.

Arrest

Rosario, Ricardo Luis, 44, was arrested on charges of DUI 1st Offense on Loxahatchee Dr on 06/23/2022.
