Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through July 26, 2021.
Burglary Conveyance
Parkside Dr.
On July 21, police responded about a delayed vehicle burglary. The victim advised her vehicle’s airbag and her brown Coach Sunglasses were missing from the vehicle. However, no signs of forced entry were observed. Latent prints and screws found in the vehicle were submitted to BSO Crime Lab for evidence. Tot. Est. Loss: $1,050.
Criminal Mischief
Carrington Ave.
On July 22, the victim stated that he parked his vehicle in front of his home and noticed that there was damage to the paint of his vehicle. No suspects at this time.
Fraud
Parkland Bay Dr.
On July 23, a deputy responded about fraudulent activity involving an email, gift cards, and a credit card. The victim stated she noticed an email from Amazon with a purchase of a computer that would be delivered on July 25, 2021. The victim called the “Amazon helpline” located on the email to question the purchase. The helpline operator requested she go to the nearest Publix and purchase a gift card from Target to speed up the process of helping her. The victim did so, and the operator then requested she go to the nearest Target Outlet and purchase several more gift cards. The victim then became suspicious and called 911 to report the incident. Tot. Est. Loss: $400.
Information
Parkland Isles Blvd.
On July 22, police received a report of a delayed traffic incident in which the entry security arm to a subdivision malfunctioned and struck a white Mercedes Benz SUV, damaging the windshield and the right front passenger side-view mirror.
NW 128th Ln.
On July 21, the landlord wanted to report harassing texts from tenants being evicted. Texts were not threatening but were rude and numerous.
NW 80th Manor
On July 20, the victim contacted the Broward Sherif’s Office Parkland District to file an information report on an attempt against her credit cards.
Loxahatchee Rd.
On July 24, a reporter advised an unknown person was illegally dumping dirt on his property without paying. Approximately 60 tons of dirt was dumped, worth $1,500. The reporter agreed with the truck driver/company to remove the dirt from his property instead of paying the $1,500. The dirt was successfully removed.
Theft
Red Bay Ln.
On July 22, the victim stated that she went out with her husband on July 16 and noticed that her black wallet was missing on July 18. The victim is unsure of the incident location of theft of her wallet and believes items may have been taken during valet parking at a restaurant. Tot. Est. Loss: $20.
Arrest
Sanclemente, Harrison Alexander, 46, was arrested on charges of Agg Assault W/deadly Weapon No Bond on NW 61st Pl on 07/22/2021.
