Parkland Crime Update: Battery and Burglary

Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through October 25, 2021. 

Battery

NW 80th Ter.

A woman was the victim of battery on 10/22/2021. The victim’s physician reported the incident after observing bruising on her. The victim’s husband was then arrested for domestic battery after deputies made contact with both of them.

Burglary Conveyance

NW 66th Way

A person was the victim of Burglary Conveyance on 10/19/2021. The victim reported that his edger was taken from his lawn moving trailer. Tot. Est. Loss: $300.

Information

Parkside Drive

On 10/19/2021, the school administration notified deputies of a delayed behavioral incident in the school aftercare program 10/15/21. No victims were listed.

N. University Dr.

On 10/19/2021, a child was running through the school hallway while at the afterschool program. The child struck a computer cart, causing a laceration to his eyebrow. The parent on the scene transported the child for treatment.

NW 57th Ln.

On 10/22/2021, family members of a deceased relative advised of items missing, possibly collected by other family members since the passing.

Property Damage

Parkland Bay Dr.

On 10/19/2021, reporter advised that a contractor leaving the community hit the arm at the exit gate, breaking the arm off. The contractor left the scene.

Runaway

Blueridge Ln.

A male runaway was reported on 10/23/2021. The reporting person stated the last time she had contact with him was October 22. She stated she knew for sure he was at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on this date. Now wants to report him missing since she does not know where he is and has no way of contacting him. Contact was made with a friend of his who stated she did not know the whereabouts of the missing party but would try to contact him.

Theft

NW 111th Way

On 10/19/2021, a victim alleged that her cleaning lady removed various cosmetic make-up, a teacup, and a saucer from her home. Tot. Est. Loss: $1,275.

Arrests

Roman, Julia G., 19, was arrested on charges of Dui on Waterview Way on 10/21/2021.
