Parkland Crime Update: Burglaries and Theft

Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through May 23, 2022.

Burglary Conveyance

NW 70th Pl.

A person was the victim of Burglary Conveyance on 05/17/2022. A wallet was removed from the center console of an unlocked 2018 Chevy Colorado in the victim’s driveway. Tot. Est. Loss: $75.

Pimlico Ln.

On 05/17/2022, a Range Rover and Cadillac Escalade were burglarized. Tot. Est. Loss: $550.

Ranch Rd.

On 05/18/2022, a victim left a purse in the back seat of a vehicle. Suspect smashed rear passenger side window, removed purse containing $5 and a Bank of America debit card. Tot. Est. Loss: $55.

Information

NW 113th Ave.

On 05/18/2022, reporting person alleged that person(s) used her identity to rent a home in Parkland.

Stonegate Blvd.

On 05/18/2022, deputies responded in reference to threats made. Further investigation revealed no credible threats made.

Suspicious Person

Location Redacted

On 05/18/2022, a concerned citizen of Parkland drove by and noticed an individual exiting from a gate at an undisclosed location. The citizen called BSO to report a suspicious person.

Theft

NW 70th Pl.

On 05/20/2022, deputies responded in reference to a bicycle and tennis shoes being abandoned on a walking path for at least two days. The bicycle and shoes were retrieved for safekeeping. The owner of the bicycle contacted deputies and stated his bicycle may have been stolen from his driveway a few days earlier but did not report it. The owner was able to show ownership of the bicycle and it was turned over to him. Tot. Est. Loss: $650.
