Parkland Crime Update: LED Lights Stolen From Home Under Construction

Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through Aug. 29, 2022.

Information

Holmberg Rd.

On 08/28/2022, reporter requested a welfare check on her husband and forced entry was required into a residence.

Pine Island Rd. North of Parkland Isles Blvd.

On 08/28/2022, deputies observed a white Honda in the bushes with its front passenger door ajar and its lights out, with no signs of any occupants inside.

7400 Parkside Drive

On 8/25/2022, Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Rescue responded to investigate a kitchen oven that malfunctioned at Riverglades Elementary School. The school was evacuated during the investigation. Authorities determined the school was clear for normal operations.

Domestic Disturbance

Holmberg Rd.

On 08/24/2022, deputies responded to a report of a domestic disturbance. A verbal argument had taken place but nothing physical occurred.

Lost Property

NW 61st Ter.

On 08/27/2022, a report was made via landline in reference to the reporting person losing their phone.

Theft

NW 77th Ter.

A person was the victim of Theft – All Other on 08/23/2022. A trailer was stolen.  Tot. Est. Loss: $13,000.

Deer Lake Ct.

On 08/23/2022, two large boxes of LED lights were stolen from a home under construction. Tot. Est. Loss: $2,244.

Threat Assessment

Holmberg Rd.

A Threat Assessment Report was made on 08/23/2022 after a student at a school said, “when the bell rings, you better run!” The incident is being handled by school administrators.
