Parkland Crime Update: Missing Child and Burglaries

Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through June 20, 2022.

Battery

Holmberg Rd.

On 04/04/22, a female victim was involved in a physical altercation with her husband. The victim sustained injuries as a result of the incident. It was later reported to BSO on 06/14/22.

Burglary Business

NW 76th Dr.

On 06/17/22, contact was made with all parties, where on further investigation, an incident was revealed to be a burglary. The victim did not want to prosecute, and waiver of prosecution forms was filled out and submitted to BSO Records. Video footage of the incident was uploaded toEvidence.com, and all parties were issued a BSO Case card. Tot. Est. Loss: $3.

Burglary Residence

On 06/16/2022, a deputy was flagged down by a witness to a residential burglary who pointed out the offender. The offender was detained and later transported to BSO Parkland station, where she was later interviewed. The victim stated she does wish to prosecute.

NW 70th Ter.

The victim alleged that on 6/18/22, an unknown subject(s) entered their residence and stole a small black safe and jewelry. Tot. Est. Loss: $12,900.

Fraud

NW 77th Ter.

A person was the victim of Fraud on 06/14/2022. Tot. Est. Loss: $11,331.

Information

Falls Ln.

On 06/15/2022, there was a civil dispute between two neighbors. The dispute was over a dog being walked on one’s property and the lack of one neighbor’s cleaning up after the dog.

Missing Person

NW 116th Ave.

On 06/17/2022, deputies received a missing person’s report about a fourteen-year-old female. The juvenile, who was scheduled to visit her mother in Miami-Dade County per a visitation agreement, left a residence in Heron Bay on her bicycle. Numerous subdivisions were searched with the hopes of locating the juvenile, but all attempts ended with negative results. The juvenile’s information was entered into NCIC/FCIC.

Robbery By Sudden Snatching

NW 60th Pl.

On 06/19/2022, a man had an Apple AirPod snatched from his ear by a known female who fled in her vehicle.
