Parkland Crime Update: Road Rage and Car Burglary

Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through Oct. 31, 2022.

Burglary Conveyance

N. University Dr.

On 10/26/2022, the 45-year-old female victim parked her 2012 Nissan Versa behind a business and entered her place of employment. Unknown burglar(s) smashed the front driver’s side window of the vehicle and removed her purse and its contents from inside.

Information

11000 Holmberg Rd. (Westglades Middle School)

On 10/24/2022, deputies were dispatched to WGMS about a female pulling on the school’s door handles. Upon arrival, a 51-year-old woman was observed near the front of the school while heavily intoxicated. Once it was determined no crimes had occurred, she was transported to her residence on NW 60th Pl.

7400 Nob Hill Rd.

On 10/27/2022, two adult drivers—one in a 2016 Mercedes-Benz and the other in a 2013 Honda Odyssey—engaged in an ongoing, verbal road rage dispute that resulted in both driving to the BSO Parkland District office.

NW 128th Ln.

On 10/27/2022, reporting person advised that her passport had been mailed to the wrong address.

Lost Property

W. 120th Way

On 10/31/2022, the reporter advised that she accidentally left her purse in the back of a limo that dropped her off that day. The bag contained her Florida driver’s license, Visa credit card, and cell phone. 

Theft

Bastille Cir. W.

A business was the victim of Theft -All Other on 10/26/2022. Fifty-three sheets of stolen plywood were recovered in the roadway. Tot. Est. Value: $2,553. 

Hillsboro Blvd.

A business was the victim of Theft Retail shoplifting on 10/27/2022. A be-on-the-lookout alert was issued for the suspect vehicle. Tot. Est. Loss: $150.
