Parkland Crime Update: Stalking and Burglary

Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through May 30, 2022.

Auto Theft

On 05/28/2022, an unidentified vehicle was stolen from a driveway by an unknown subject(s) without the male victim’s permission or authority.

Property Damage

On 05/25/22, an unmarked Boca Raton Police Department vehicle was properly parked on the side of the road when damage to the right rear tail light occurred. No other damage to the vehicle and unknown how the damage occurred at this time.

Battery

Holmberg Road

A report of a Battery was made at an unidentified school on 05/24/2022. School SRO took a report of two juveniles who fought each other in the building two boys’ restroom. Both juveniles were determined to be willing participants in the fight and were considered mutual combatants. One of the Juveniles had minor abrasions. Both denied having any other injuries and refused fire rescue to respond. School Administrators suspended both students for fighting on campus, based on the school discipline matrix.

Burglary Conveyance

NW 81st Ter.

On 05/27/2022, several lawn service tools worth $2,369 were stolen.

Fraud

N. Blue Spring Dr.

A person was the victim of Fraud-Worthless Check on 05/25/2022.

Property Damage

NW 75th Way

On 05/26/2022, a female victim alleged she returned home and found her child’s basketball hoop located in her driveway was damaged and leaking water. She reviewed her surveillance video and observed an Amazon delivery vehicle running over the base of the basketball hoop.

Stalking

NW 111th Way

05/26/2022, a Parkland resident stated that she has been receiving strange and inappropriate messages via Instagram and Facebook over the past two years.
