Parkland Crime Update: Theft and Graffiti Damage

Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through Sept. 19, 2022.

Criminal Mischief

Parkland Bay Dr.

On 09/16/2022, unknown suspect(s) spray painted graffiti and cut the fence on the back wall behind three construction homes. Estimated damages valued at $1,000.

Information

Knight St.

On 09/13/2022, a man driving a cargo van was observed loading cement blocks into his van. Subject unloaded the blocks and left the area after being confronted by the project manager. No loss reported.

NW 103rd Ln.

On 09/17/2022, callers advised of a possible domestic violence incident occurring between parties on the roadway in their vehicle in the Fox Ridge community.

Property Damage

On 09/14/2022, a private communality stop sign was damaged. Value to replace is $750. It appears a landscaping truck knocked the sign down, but it does not appear the driver was aware the sign was knocked down.

Theft From Building

Juniper Dr.

On 09/13/2022, a suspect entered an unsecured home under construction. Once inside, the suspect removed appliances without permission. Tot. Est. Loss: $6,500.

Threat Assessment Report

Pine Island Rd.

On 09/10/2022, a juvenile was caught with small container of mace at a school function. The parent was notified.

Violation Of Court Order

NW 91st Ave.

On September 14, 2022, a man violated an active temporary injunction for protection against domestic violence. The injunction for protection does not expire until September 21, 2022. He violated the order when he entered the victim’s residence.

Arrest

Lomicky, William Edward, 53, was arrested on charges of Domestic Violence Injunction Willful Violation on Nw 91st Ave on 09/14/2022.
