 By: Sharon Aron Baron

The City of Parkland is bringing the big screen back to the park with Luca.

Released in 2021, Luca is a Pixar Animation Studios film set on the Italian Riviera. The film centers on Luca Paguro, a young sea monster boy who can assume human form while on land. He explores the town of Portorosso with his new best friend, Alberto Scorfano, experiencing a life-changing summer adventure.

The event is held on Friday, June 24, at 8:15 p.m., where Pines Trails Park will be transformed into a local movie theater with an 18-foot inflatable movie screen and freshly popped popcorn.

Sponsored by Broward Health Coral Springs, the event is free and open to everyone. Bring your chairs, blankets, and pillows, and get comfortable under the stars. Pine Trails Park is located at 10555 Trails End, Parkland, FL 33076.
