The City of Parkland announces the return of their annual farmers’ market on November 7.
Since 2006, the Parkland Farmers’ Market has been an event residents look forward to that includes more than 100 vendors, offering everything from organic and conventional fruits and vegetables, baked goods, specialty and gourmet foods, to specialty spices and sauces.
“I can’t think of a better place to go before having some friends over for a football watch party or before heading to the game for a tailgate party,” said Todd DeAngelis, Parkland director of communications, “The market has everything you can imagine—and a lot of things you can’t imagine.”
DeAngelis said, “The market is also a great place to catch a Sunday brunch or lunch.”
“If you wake up on a Sunday morning and aren’t sure what to have for breakfast, just go to the Farmers’ Market, and you’ll figure it out,” he said. “You want to sleep in, and your dilemma is lunch, not breakfast? Same solution. There are so many options for every palate.”
This year, the market offers a specialty fair, with each date beginning November 21. Then, the three markets before the holidays will be combined with craft fairs.
“It’s the perfect place to find unique gifts for friends and family,” said DeAngelis.
The specialty fairs include health and wellness and public safety in January and pet expo in February. In March and April, the market offers a community awareness/business expo, followed by an environmental expo and craft fair at the season finale on April 24, 2022.
Aside from offering unique learning opportunities, the market is also a great way to connect with residents.
“The best thing about the Farmers’ Market is seeing your fellow Parklanders while you’re there. Not only is it the best farmers’ market around, but it’s grown to be a great community event,” said DeAngelis.
The market is scheduled for the first and third Sunday of every month from November through March and the second and fourth Sundays in April at the Parkland Equestrian Center, located at 8350 Ranch Rd. Parkland, FL. 33067.
“The Equestrian Center is really an ideal venue for this event. To say we have adequate space for parking is an understatement,” DeAngelis offers.
The event is also accepting applications for vendors. Vendor fees are $65 for each Sunday or $400 for the entire season for residents, and $480 for non-residents. Applications are processed within 5-7 business days.
