Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through June 21, 2021.
Criminal Mischief
Blue Cove Way
On June 15, a 51-year-old female was the victim of criminal mischief. She told police that unknown persons smashed the right rear window of her 2020 Volkswagen Tiguan with an unknown object. The vehicle was parked in her driveway. There was no sign of entry into the vehicle. The doors were closed and locked, and nothing inside was disturbed or missing.
Shoplifting
N State Rd 7
On June 15, a business reported Theft-Retail/Shoplifting. The reporter advised an unknown male entered the business where he concealed numerous items and exited the store without making payment. Tot. Est. Loss: $310.
Property Damage
5901 W Hillsboro Blvd
On June 15, the Manager on Duty at BJ`s Wholesale Club advised that an employee using the automated cart mover to collect shopping carts had damaged a vehicle in the parking lot. The vehicle owner was inside the vehicle when the incident occurred. BJ`s Wholesale Club agreed to reimburse the owner for the repair of the vehicle.
Possession of Controlled Substance
W Hillsboro Blvd
On June 18, contact was made with Francisco Loredo, in reference to being unconscious while behind the wheel. While checking on his welfare a Xanax pill was observed in plain view on top of the center console. Loredo was placed under arrest and transported to BSO Main Jail.
Found Property
10555 Trails End
On June 18, a 39-year-old female approached a BSO deputy in the Pine Trails Park parking lot to tell them she had found an unknown person’s USAA credit card.
Arrests
Loredo, Francisco Leonardo, 24, was arrested on charges of Possession of Controlled Substances in the 7000 block of Hillsboro Blvd on 06/18/2021.
Rapa, Ralph Edward, 55, was arrested on charges of Touch Or Strike/battery/Domestic Viol on NW 61st Ter on 06/20/2021.
Yates, David Samuel, 21, was arrested on charges of Possession Of Amphetamine in the 6000 block of Holmberg Rd on 06/20/2021.
