Assault, Battery, and Criminal Mischief This Week in Parkland Crime

Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through October 19.

Assault

8200 block of  NW 127th Ln – Heron Bay

On October 15, a verbal domestic altercation between father and son occurred over the family business. One party agreed to leave the residence for the night until things calmed down.

Battery

NW 58th Ct

On October 16, the victim advised that she had a physical altercation with her husband. During the altercation, the husband caused criminal mischief and battery to a juvenile male unrelated to him.

Criminal Mischief

8600 block of Watercrest Cir – Watercrest

On October 17, BSO responded in reference to at least four criminal mischief incidents involving a juvenile subject in a black Lexus damaging Halloween decorations in Watercrest and several other locations. The vehicle owner was located and the subject already contacted the owners. Father agreed he would pay for any damage.

8800 block of Waterside Pl – MiraLago

On October 17, a video shows a white male exit a dark sedan type car, throwing Halloween decorations to the ground. Estimated damage $200

Information

7000 block of NW 71st Mnr

On October 13, BSO responded to a civil matter involving a property owner vs former tenant issue. The property owner advised that after her tenants were evicted, she discovered the lights and washer and dryer were gone and claims that they were stolen.

10500 block of Trails End – Watercrest

On October 14, a verbal argument occurred at the home. They had the juvenile leave and stay with a friend for the time being until law enforcement arrived on the scene and settled the dispute.

6650 University Dr – BSO Parkland

On October 16, A man advised BSO he is in fear of a male subject who was one of his clients with a previously owned business and is in fear he will cause harm to him and his family in Parkland. After speaking with the person, BSO advised him to notify the gatehouse of his community about what was going on and to have them notify him if he attempts to enter the community. BSO also advised he should look into getting a restraining order against the male which he advised he would do so.

11450 Heron Bay Blvd N – Heron Bay

On October 16, BSO was called in reference to an elderly female with memory issues found walking in the area. She was reunited with family members at the 12100 block of NW 82nd St without incident.

10300 block of Cameilla St – Parkland Golf & Country Club

On October 18, involved parties got involved in an argument over riding bicycles along the roadway and interfering with the flow of traffic.

Theft

7200 block of E Cypresshead Dr – Cypress Head

On October 16, a Biden political yard sign was last seen the day before On October 16, it was noticed to be missing. Value $10.00. No witnesses.

Arrests

Mindermann, Arthur Charles (W M, 38) was arrested on charges of Touch Or Strike/battery/domestic Viol at NW 58th Ct, Parkland, on 10/17/2020.
