The city of Coconut Creek is urging the community to unite and ensure every student has the essential supplies to start the school year.
The city has scheduled a Back-to-School Drive with The Pantry of Broward to support local families needing essential school supplies. The community is encouraged to donate school items, including backpacks, calculators, crayons, markers, dry-erase boards, folders, glue sticks, headphones, highlighters, index cards, paper, pencils, sharpeners, scissors, staplers, tabbed dividers, tissues, and USB flash drives.
Several drop-off locations have been established across the city to make participating convenient for residents.
Donations can be dropped off at the following locations from Monday to Friday between 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- City Hall: 4800 West Copans Road
- Recreation Complex: 4455 Sol Press Boulevard
- Community Center: 1100 Lyons Road
- Police Department: 4800 West Sample Road
All donations must be dropped off by July 24 to allow city representatives enough time to gather and deliver the supplies to The Pantry of Broward.
