Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through December 28, 2020.
Battery
9200 block of NW 62nd Ct – Grand Cypress Estates
On December 26, the son advised that he had a physical altercation with his father. During the altercation, the offender pushed the victim onto the floor. The victim sustained a small laceration to his right palm. The victim is 65 years of age. The son was arrested and transported to BSO Main Jail.

11100 block of NW 82nd Pl – Heron Bay
On December 23, Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Rescue responded to an adult unconscious person call. The patient was transported to North West Regional Medical Center for treatment.
5300 block of Pine Tree Rd – Pine Tree Estates
On December 24, the reporting person advised that his cat went missing. The person found the cat on the neighbor’s lawn lying on his back, wounded from a pellet gunshot. No suspect(s) at this time, and the reporting person wanted the incident reported for documentation.
11700 block of NW 79th Ct – Heron Bay
On December 27, a person reported receiving a text message containing a picture of a male sexual organ and believes her daughter’s boyfriend sent it.
Missing Person
10600 block of Waves Way – Cascata
On December 23, a woman advised her husband left their home unattended, and she does not know his whereabouts. After making contact with her, she advised he has a medical condition and is undergoing treatment. K-9 unit and Aviation unit were later dispatched as well for assistance. Family members later located him and brought him home, where his wife welcomed him. No injuries.
Property Damage
8500 block of Ranch Rd – The Ranches
On December 23, FPL damaged grass while working on the property.
Theft
7171 N State Road 7 – MOD Pizza
On December 25, the victim alleged someone took his bag from the outside counter.
