Broward County Public Schools is helping families get a jump-start on the 2025/26 school year with its Back-to-School READY events, including a key event in Coconut Creek.
Held at Atlantic Technical College on Thursday, August 7, from 4 to 7 p.m., Building #2, Room 122, located at 4700 Coconut Creek Parkway. Families attending can access a wide range of essential resources and services to ensure students are prepared for the first day of school.
Highlights of the event include assistance with registration, transportation services, meal applications, and school immunizations (a parent or guardian must be present). Families can also meet with representatives from various departments to receive information on tutoring, grade-level expectations, academic support, and guidance on the FAST assessment.
Staff from Exceptional Student Education, Student Services, the Homeless Education Assistance Resource Team, and school counselors will also be available to offer support. Additionally, assistance will be provided in accessing and navigating the Focus parent portal.
Families new to BCPS will receive personalized assistance to help ease their transition into the district.
“We are excited for the new school year and committed to championing the success of our students and families before they walk onto school campuses on day one,” said Superintendent Dr. Howard Hepburn.
In addition to Coconut Creek, two other Back-to-School READY events will take place at:
- Atlantic Technical College – Arthur Ashe, Jr. Campus, Gym, 1701 N.W. 23rd Ave., Fort Lauderdale
- Sheridan Technical College, Building 12, Stage Area, 5400 Sheridan St., Hollywood
