Have you herd? This weekend, C.W. Hendrix Farms is hosting a huge auction. But, there’s no fowl play here —although their equipment is up for sale, the Hendrix family is staying put.
At 739 acres, C.W. Hendrix Farms at 12210 Loxahatchee Road is the largest remaining undeveloped land in Broward County.
Run by the Hendrixes for over 70 years, patriarch Woody said he is not retiring, just no longer farming the land. His family leased the farm and is actively working with the new tenants.
Farmers can now purchase their forklifts, tractors, farm equipment, field trucks, and more, starting on December 4, with a preview day on December 3, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
According to the Weeks Auction Company, it is the nicest line-up of field-ready and well-maintained high crop tractors on the market.
Buyers are responsible for checking out each item or making phone calls before auction day and for all shipping logistics and costs.
