Coconut Creek families looking for an exciting way to keep their little ones active will have a new opportunity this spring.
The City of Coconut Creek hosts Toddler Open Gym Fridays, an engaging program for children ages 2 to 4.
Running from April 4 through May 16, this parent-child interactive class offers toddlers a chance to practice soccer and basketball in an open gym format. Young participants can also access agility exercise equipment and fun, skill-building activity stations designed to enhance coordination and development.
Unlike traditional sports programs, Toddler Open Gym Fridays is a non-instructor-led session, encouraging direct parent involvement. A parent must accompany each child, and both are required to wear sneakers.
Sessions take place every Friday from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Recreation Complex, located at 4455 Sol Press Boulevard. There will be no class on April 18. The cost is $5 per day for Coconut Creek residents and $10 per day for non-residents, with parent admission included at no additional charge. Only credit card payments will be accepted.
Registration is ongoing until spaces are filled, with a daily limit of 15 participants. Parents can register online at CoconutCreek.net/WebTrac or in person at the Recreation Complex or Community Center at 1100 Lyons Road.
A WebTrac account is required for online registration, and assistance is available by calling the Recreation Complex at 954-956-1580.
