{City of Coconut Creek}
The City of Coconut Creek invites children aged 3 to 5 to participate in its Peewee Basketball program, a fun way to introduce young athletes to the fundamentals of basketball.
Running every Wednesday from February 5 through February 26, the program will focus on teaching foundational basketball skills through activities, drills, and exercises.
The Peewee Basketball program emphasizes parent participation, requiring one parent to accompany each child. Both parent and child must wear sneakers to participate. Each young athlete will leave the program with a shirt, a certificate, and a trophy to celebrate their accomplishments.
Sessions will be held at the Community Center, located at 1100 Lyons Road, from 5:15 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. The cost is $45 for Coconut Creek residents and $55 for non-residents, with payment accepted by credit card only.
Spaces are limited to 12 participants, and registration is ongoing until full. Interested families can register online at CoconutCreek.net/WebTrac or in person at either the Community Center or the Recreation Complex, located at 4455 Sol Press Boulevard.
To register online, families must have a WebTrac account. For assistance in setting up an account, residents can contact the Community Center at 954-545-6670. Additional information about the program can be found at CoconutCreek.net/Parks.
Don’t miss this opportunity to introduce your little one to the game of basketball in a supportive and fun environment. With limited space, early registration is encouraged.
