
Coconut Creek Football. {CC Athletics}
Week six of the high school football season in Coconut Creek featured some exciting games, along with volleyball and cross country.
The football team recorded a 45-6 win over South Broward High School to improve to 5-1 this season. The Cougars’ only loss came against Cardinal Gibbons High School, as Coconut Creek will play Atlantic High School on Friday, October 10, at 7 p.m. The Eagles rank 24th in the state and are 6-0 this year, having also recorded a 34-25 win against the Cougars last year.
In volleyball, Coconut Creek won its first match but has lost its last six, including a match this past week against Nova High School. They will play their final home match of the season on Tuesday, October 7, at 6 p.m. before playing on the road for the last two against Northeast and McArthur High School.
In cross country, Livensly Badio and John Jaques each ran in the Bobshever’s NW Area Schools XC Championship. Badio finished 59th while Jaques came in 61st.
